The Cycle Project, Salem
“The Cycle Project” retains its name from our inaugural cycle store initiative. Located in Salem, Tamil Nadu, this project was developed for Babu’s Cycle Emporium. Our design approach focused on transforming the store into more than just a retail space for bicycles. We aimed to create a vibrant community hub where like-minded individuals can gather, share stories, and connect.
The layout includes designated areas for different types of bikes, a dynamic display area, a service section, a children’s play zone, and functional spaces for accounts and billing. Each display space features movable podiums for fl exibility, allowing for easy reconfi guration as needed. Additionally, we incorporated a selection of antiques and vintage bicycles to enhance the store’s character.
The interior design embraces an industrial style, characterized by raw materials and a modern aesthetic. The storefront was thoughtfully designed to be inclusive, inviting all members of the community to engage with the space. By integrating these elements, The Cycle Project not only serves as a retail outlet but also as a lively meeting place for cycling enthusiasts and the local community
