A Traditionaly Villa in an urban setting

The main door stands out amidst the constantly flowing white walls around the house marking the primary entrance to the residence. Teak wood originating from the Dandeli region has been used. It is arguably the best variety of teak wood found in India from an aesthetic view, characterised by long and beautiful grains.

A Classic-styled residence showing little traits Contemporary

The main door here has used a waffle like design with spaces punched into the front face of the shutter. The central wider column of " waffles " showcases intricate floral carving with its design roots originating from stone carvings found in the South Indian temples around Hampi.

A-1204 is an abode by Wood and Metal that is truly treasured. Truly treasured since it’s a work of art. The front door doesn’t restrict itself to just a front door. It is flanged and extended into cornices,carvings,complimenting ornate patterned tiles and green traditional Indian elements.

W & M had the opportunity to get out of our comfort zone with this project and come out with a truly unique end product. Most of the Pooja Units we design are along the lines of typical traditional temple-architecture elements.  Here we have designed and were able to materialise a Pooja Unit that fits perfectly in the room without breaking the character.

Which Wood Do You Pick?

Solid Wood offers a dizzying array of colors, figure, and grain. Colors range from the near white of Ash to the deep browns of Rose, the jet black of Ebony. Vibrant colors abound, such as the blood red of padauk & the bright yellow of Jack are also observed.. A combination of rays and vessels in wood can produce wild effects in grain for instance the ray fleck or the tiger stripe.
